GF Recipes to Try

I've got quite a few recipes that I want to try:

Graham Crackers-- Kevin's b-day is coming up & he loves cherry cheesecake... gotta have this for his birthday!

Homemade Noodles-- can't have Thanksgiving or Christmas without noodles!

Flour Tortillas-- we aren't big fans of corn tortillas

These burgers just look good... minus the buns!

And these calzones...

GF Taco Dip

1 pound or 1.5 hamburger
onion
garlic salt
pepper
Taco Seasoning
Water
1 2 pound box of Velveta type cheese
1 big can refried beans ** I made my own**
1 jar of Salsa

Brown the hamburger with the onion and garlic salt and pepper. When that is finished, add the taco seasoning to it with the water. Let sit a few minutes. Add meat to a crock pot with the salsa, cheese, and beans. Let simmer until all the cheese is melted. Serve with corn chips.

Since we aren't a big fan of corn tortillas, this made a nice easy taco type dinner.

GF Teriyaki Chicken

We had baked teriyaki chicken for supper last night & the pan was completely licked clean!!!!

Our favorite bottled teriyaki sauce has gluten in it. The only thing I changed was I added a little bit of brown sugar also. Next time, I'm going to make it in the CP!

This week we found out that Kevin has an allergy to wheat/grains. I have gone through the kitchen cleaning it out of the contraband products. Gluten is in a lot of products!!! Thankfully, there are a lot of products that are available that are okay. I'll be making a lot of things from scratch again. I am going to be going through my recipes & adjusting them to fit our new needs. Because of cross-contamination issues, we are going to all go gluten free.
